Whom do you consider to be the best president of the United States during the twentieth century?

I have always favored Teddy Roosevelt, myself, not so much due to his political persuasion, but rather because he appeared to be a visionary and a defender of the common people, willing to take great risks by defying big business and preserving some of our national landmarks when such attempts were not part of the mainstream of legislative thought during that time period.
