Walking a goat?!?

my goat loves to ride in the car and he loves to "go hiking" in the back pastures which are like fields. id like to take him for a walk in the state park but seeing as how he is not a dog, i have no idea how to do this. leashes don't seem to work too well as they are short and he is a wanderer, anyone have any ideas on how to do this or to train him to walk?
