Has avarice been exalted as the god of this age?

as humans is it really our place to Judge reality. According to quantum physics atoms, positrons and neutrinos pop in and out of existence infinitely. Not to mention the tiny amount of light that is visible to the human eye. Humans (and i'm one, not by choice though) make an attempt to dictate reality as a means to justify their own existence.
