What do you think of my little exposition?

I agree with the first answer in regards to which words to use, but I tend to disagree with the sentences being too long. I think it flows well enough as is, and i especially like the descriptions you used. I generally prefer more descriptive writing. "play things from the summer past that have yet to be returned to their rightful place in the garage or basement". I like little pieces like that that really describe what you see. I'm not sure if "lucid" is the word you are looking for however in reference to dreams. Lucid dreaming refers to becoming conscious in your dream. Is that what you meant? Overall, I enjoyed it. it's nice to see writing on here that isn't really dark or about vampires and twilight...
