Vicodin Abuse Help - Withdrawal?

I've had a problem with pills on and off for a couple of years now. I hadn't taken any in a while, when I started going through a rough time emotionally, and had access to hydromorphone and vicodin. I have been taking them on and off for about 3 months. I decided to stop because I reached a really bad place, but unfortunately it has already affected my relationship. Does anyone know if vicodin abuse or withdrawal can make an otherwise laid back easygoing person a mega b*tch?? Now that I have been off for over a week I am having major anxiety and it feels like I just woke up from a nightmare. It's like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. Is this normal??? How do I fix this?
