Do I need to adjust the throttle position sensor on a 2003 Jeep Liberty?

I recently replaced the TPS (because the code said so) on my jeep with a new one and now it is coding with a TPS problem again. The parts store said it may be an "adjustable type". Is this the case or is it maybe a faulty sensor.
